Being an avid and dedicated bow
hunter I have hunted with some of the best outfits
across North America. I can honestly say none
were any better than the hunt I had with
Mt. Peyton Outfitters.
I bow hunted black bear
in the spring a couple of times with them and also
bow hunted caribou in the fall. Twice there were
6 of us all bow hunting bears and some of
us took home great trophies.
My fall caribou trophy
now hangs in my bow hunting shop for all to see.
It serves as a reminder of how all things come
together when a job is done right. Thanks to all
at Mt. Peyton Outfitters for a great and professional
hunt.

As an outdoor
guns and hunting writer I have had the opportunity
to hunt on four continents with many, many outfitters.
The guides, cook and facilities
at Mt. Peyton Outfitters are as good as you will
find anywhere in the world. These boys know how
to run a hunting camp, they know where to find
trophy caribou and they know how to have fun.
On my first hunt with Mt. Peyton
Outfitters in 2002, I shot a Boone and Crocket
Woodland caribou an hour into the first morning.
On my hunt the following year, Air Canada lost
all my luggage and the boys at Mt. Peyton Outfitters
rounded up enough gear to keep me in the field
until my stuff arrived. I anxiously await an
opportunity to hunt with them again.

Having hunted with a number
of different outfitters over the years in both
the United States and Canada, there is no doubt
Mt. Peyton Outfitters is at the top of the list.
While their facilities and food
are top notch, the knowledgeable dedicated guides
working one-on-one with the clients and the overall
family atmosphere that prevails the camp make them
the best outfitters I have ever known.
The fact that having been there
for two hunts with five other friends and having
100% success each time only adds to the attraction
of this special camp.

This is my second
year hunting with "the boys" of Mt. Peyton Outfitters
which is everything they claim to be.
Mt. Peyton Outfitters ranks higher
than other outfitters that I have hunted with
across North America.
The hunting guides, comfortable
lodge, homestyle meals, quality of game and hospitality
are second to none.
I hope to be able to return in
the next few years.

I highly recommend
this outfitter. I hunted Woodland Caribou in
the fall of 2007 with them and have rebooked
with a group of friends to go back in 2008.
The guides, cook and everyone
involved were a breeze to get along with.
They were personable and all around just a
great group of people. My guide, Gordon, was
excellent and really knows the land and the
game. They took care of everything for you
and your hunt.
Their is an abundance of game
to be seen! Accommodations are first class
all the way.

Being
a woman and accompanying my partner Robert
Sebeny on a caribou hunt
with Mt. Peyton Outfitters, I was reluctant to
attend an all male hunting week in Newfoundland
with “THE BOYS”. I can truly say
that I was treated with the greatest respect
and made to feel very welcome at the lodge. My
guide, Todd G., was very knowledgeable and put
me on to a great trophy stag caribou. I brought
it down with the first shot. Rob had hunted
with Mt. Peyton Outfitters on several previous
occasions and told me that they were very professional
in every way. I enjoyed my stay, saw lots of
game, the accommodations and food were first
class all the way. I highly recommend this outfitter
to all hunters interested in going to Newfoundland
to seek big game, especially the women out there
who need to feel at ease going on a hunt such
as this.
